The answer to this depends on the version of the software being used. I will give the answer for newer software 2014-2016 first.
- If you have been using the software fine and then happen to get this message suddenly one day when trying to open the software, it is usually a sign of a file(s) that are missing. Here are the trouble shooting suggestions;
- You will need to run the service pack that matches your version of the software. If you run a newer version of the software in an attempt to fix the problem you will be subject to the activation fee associated with the new version.
- If you cant find the software in your downloads folder on your computer you may have to update to the latest version of the software.
Note: The QX subspace website only tends to host the latest version of the software.

Here is an announcement that was sent out from QX Ltd;
Dear Registered Users,
We would like to inform you that as of January 1, 2012, an error message pops up when opening the Clasp 32 Software for some of the previously released versions.
The error message does not affect the safety and efficacy of the Software and or device in any way.
The error message looks similar to this.
“Access Violation at address 00FF521B in module ‘conmain.exe’. Read of address 0000029C.”
There is an option to click on OK when the message pops up, and doing so will allow the Clasp 32 Program to load and work as usual. We have concentrated all our efforts into developing a new version of the software that will fix this issue and we will have it ready for release in the near future.We apologize for the inconveniences this may cause and we thank you for your patience and understanding while we are working to solve the issue. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us anytime.
Thank you
