    5 5 10 Update Instructions For Indigo Users

    If the following steps are executed properly you will be updated to the latest 5 5 10 version of the software.

    IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT EACH ONE OF THE FOLLOWING LINKS BE APPLIED IN ORDER

    This will prepare and apply the enhancements to the QC Backup Suite and the Indigo Update Tool (accessed through the Icons on your desktop).  These changes will be needed  in order to continue with all future Indigo update processes.  It is important to have a good secure Wired high speed internet connection. A physically wired connection is definitely preferred over wireless one. There have been many cases of people not receiving all the files while downloading via a wireless internet connection. Wireless connections are notorious for inconsistent data transfer, which can cause errors and files not installing properly.  Please give yourself plenty of time as this whole process can take over an hour depending on internet quality and speed.

     

    Follow these instructions in order.

    First Step

    QC-Backup Program – http://qcupdate.com/QC-BackupSetup.exe

    1. 1.      Download the QC-BackupSetup.exe.
      You MUST do this step FIRST…do not skip it.
    2. Once you have downloaded QC-BackupSetup.exe you will need to run this install file by double left clicking on it.
    3. Running this install file will give you the latest version of the backup and restore programs; at the end of the installation of this file, the backup program will backup your client data.

    Second Step

    Clicking on the exe link below will open a text page.  Read the information, scroll to the bottom and click ‘Agree’ to continue

    Indigo 3-3-10 to 5-5-10 Service Pack – http://qcupdate.com/indigo/ServicePack1.exe

     

    1. Download the ServicePack1.exe.
    2. Once you have downloaded ServicePack1.exe you will need to run this install file by double left clicking on it.
    3. Running this file will update your Indigo software with the new 5-5-10 files.

    Third Step

    There are 2 different options 32 or 64 bit, make sure you select the correct one for your O/S

    IF you are unsure review the following;

    If you have an Indigo Quantum Computer it will be 32 bit

    If you are currently running the software it most likely on a 32 bit computer

    Most of you will have a 32 bit computer unless you have purchased a new computer recently and had help with the 64 bit to be able to install the software. If you are unsure here is how you can check;

    Start
    Right Click Computer
    Click Properties
    Review the information about your O/S and Computer if you do not see 64 bit stated it is a 32 bit.  If it is 64 bit it will be stated here.

    1. c.       On your desktop you will have a shortcut for “Indigo Documents”, open this folder by double left clicking on this shortcut.
    2. d.      Double left click on the “Download the Antismoking Program” shortcut
