Reverted To DEMO MODE! Test Function Can't Be Accessed
Susan Updated; January 26, 2016

EVER SINCE THE RELEASE OF THE 12 12 12 VERSION, YOU CAN NO LONGER REACTIVATE THE 11 11 11 VERSION ONLINE. CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE ACTIVATION SYSTEM WHICH ONLY ALLOWS THE LATEST VERSION, WHICH IS THE 8 8 14 AND THE FEE IS 300 EURO.

SOME HAVE BACKDATED THEIR COMPUTER CLOCK DUE TO THE SOFTWARE EXPIRY BACK IN JANUARY 2013. IF YOU HAVE BEEN BACKDATING THE 11 11 11 SOFTWARE AND HAVE SINCE REVERTED TO DEMO MODE, YOU MAY HAVE TO UPDATE.

HOW TO KNOW IF YOU ARE IN DEMO MODE:

When you open the INDIGO program the Main Menu screen will have a different appearance (an image of a hand holding a lightning bolt with a blue background) and there is a button that says ACTIVATION this means your system has gone into Demo Mode.   If you by pass this first indication and proceed to the Main Menu you will notice that even after Demographics and Calibration that the “Test” button is not bold and it can’t be clicked to access the Main Matrix Screen.  This means your system has gone into Demo Mode and requires (regardless of the reason that caused it) you will need to reactivate. Usually redoing the online activation through the Password screen by entering your email address, will produce the congratulations activation response.

How To Re-Activate Your Software

Quick Steps; The Activation is done from inside the Software on the Password Screen. On the Password Screen (don’t enter 1122) Look for the word Activation / Click it /Click Internet / Enter your Username and Password / Click “Send to Server”  You will get the congratulations activation response, or you will be directed to PayPal to pay an activation fee.

Full Step by Step Activation Process:

You will only be able to activate if the device is detected. The Indigo device needs to be communicating with the software to allow the online Activation.

  1. The computer needs to be online
  2. The Activation is done through the software once you get into the Password Screen
  3. Turn the INDIGO device on and wait for the chime indicating you can proceed
  4. Open the Indigo software and make sure you see the device recognition window appearing at 25% displaying the device serial #
  5. Once inside the Password Screen (don’t automatically enter 1122) look for the word “Activation”
  6. Click Activation
  7. Click Internet
  8. Enter your Username and Password. Your Username is the same email address your device was registered with. If you forgot your Password here is where you can go to reset the Password   http://www.welcometoindigo.com/my_account/password  An auto reply email will be sent to finalize it.
  9. Click “Send to Server ” There will be a long pause, if you see the message that you are being redirected to PayPal, see step 15
  10. After the pause you should see the message “Congratulations you are activated”
  11. Click Ok
  12. There will be another dialogue message congratulating you.  When you click this Ok it will take you out of the software and back to the desktop.
  13. The software will close and upon re-entry it will be fully activated
  14. No fee is required if you are reactivating after reverting to Demo Mode, on the same computer, with the same software. A fee is only charged on a software update or if you have replaced the hard drive or have installed on a new computer. Other situations that may also cause this is the UAC setting being changed, or having a different device connected to the computer. In those cases you may be directed to PayPal to pay the Activation fee. There is an Activation fee to be paid on a second computer, or for a new version, or if the existing computer had the HDD replaced. If you are paying the fee take note of the next steps.  If it is a mistake, exit and seek a solution

Very Important:  After the PayPal payment has been approved/received and finalized.  Do not close out the page. You must now apply the payment you just made to the Activation, so make sure you do not miss this step:

  1. Click “Return to QX Bahamas Ltd” Look for these very important words on the screen in blue “Return to QX Bahamas Ltd” This MUST be clicked to apply the fee to the Activation of the software.
  2. There will be a long pause, so wait until you see the message “Congratulations you are activated”
  3. Click Ok
  4. There will be another dialogue message congratulating you.  When you click this Ok it will take you out of the software and back to the desktop.
  5. Upon re-entry the software will be fully activated.

Note:  If you have closed the PayPal page without clicking “Return to QX Bahamas Ltd” and reopen the software it will still be in Demo Mode. You will see the hand holding the lightning bolt and won’t be able to access the software fully, as in, the TEST function will be disabled.  If you are still in Demo Mode upon re-entry into the software, simply perform the Activation steps again.

This time you should get the congratulation message prompts, without going to PayPal.

WARNING: If are not on the latest version of the software and thought that finding your software in Demo Mode meant that you had to do the update, this is most likely not the case. The 12 12 12 was the last mandatory version. If you tried to trouble shoot this yourself and ended up downloading the latest 8 8 14 service pack, you will be in Demo Mode and will have to pay 300 Euro to activate it. Right now this version is not mandatory. Contact me if you didn’t realize this and want to go back to your previous version. I might be able to help you with this.

REASONS FOR REVERTING TO DEMO MODE;

1)  NOT WAITING FOR THE DEVICE TO CHIME AND FULLY INITIALIZE BEFORE ENTERING THE SOFTWARE PROGRAM

Please reset the device between sessions and reboot the computer but make sure the device is allowed to fully initialized before double clicking the INDIGO program Icon on the desktop.  This means waiting until the device display monitor (screen) settles on the “Welcome to INDIGO” picture and the device has finished its chime.  The device is doing its own self-calibrating (initializing) as it turns on.  You must allow it the few seconds to do this.  To use the Anti-Smoking program or go into the E4I program be sure to turn always turn the device off, but only after closing any of the last program first and then turn off the computer.  Wait until your computer finishes booting to the windows desktop and the computer is fully ready, then turn the device back on and wait until you hear the chime, before attempting to open INDIGO, Anti-Smoking or E4I software.  Ideally the INDIGO device should be reset and the computer rebooted after a 2 minute wait between client sessions.  This gives the computer a chance to clear the RAM and everything is reset to start fresh for each new client

2)  AFTER A SYSTEM LOCK UP

The other occurrence where you might revert to Demo Mode is when the software locks up.  Let’s use the Biofeedback program as an example, if you are not using the new “Stop Training” button inside the ‘Indigo is Working’ and you think you are frozen you might use  Ctrl+Alt+Delete to get out.  If you don’t turn off the device after exiting the software and try to go back into the Indigo software, or if you reset the device but go back in too quickly and didn’t wait for it to “Chime” this can result in a misread of the serial number affecting the ability for the software to read the INDIGO device correctly, thus causing the program to switch into demo mode.

For tips on using the Biofeedback program and the new Stop Training button, review the following post. https://www.quantumworldvision.com/indigo-faq/biofeedback-programs-freezing-difficult-stop/

3)  UAC ON / HAVING MORE THAN ONE USER ON THE COMPUTER

Sometimes the UAC can be switched to a different setting. Maybe due to some updates or installing some other software, or by accidently changing it because of a “security” warning, making you think you need to adjust it. If the UAC setting gets changed your software could revert to Demo Mode and trying to reactivate may prompt the PayPal page requesting payment. When reactivating the same software should not cause a prompt to pay again. The computer may give periodic warnings about the UAC being turned on because it doesn’t like that and sees it as a security issue. Sometimes the setting will be changed, just by clicking on the message. Another possibility is if you have 2 user accounts on your computer and log in with one account and download something the UAC may get turned back on. More info below on how to turn the UAC OFF.

If the UAC setting was changed, do the Following:

Win 7

  1. Access Control Panel
  2. Start Menu
  3. Control Panel
  4. User Accounts and Family Safety
  5. Click to Change User Account Control Settings
  6. Move the Slider to the bottom “Never Notify”
  7. Click OK to make the change effective
  8. When ready, Reboot the computer for the change to take affect

NOTE: The UAC must be turned off for the proper installation and the stable running of the software.

Windows Vista

  1. Control Panel
  2. User Accounts
  3. Turn User Account Control On or Off.
  4. On the next window you will see checked: ‘Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer’.  Un-check this
  5. Reboot
  6. Now you have disabled the User Account Control

NOTE: The UAC must be turned off for the proper installation and the stable running of the software.

**Sometimes the UAC shows it is turned off but it is actually not.  The only way to be absolutely sure is to actually turn it ON and reboot the computer then go through the process and turn it OFF and reboot the computer again.

4)  ATTEMPTING TO CONNECT ANOTHER DEVICE TO YOUR COMPUTER WILL CAUSE YOU TO DEACTIVATE THE PREVIOUS DEVICE AND YOU WILL HAVE TO ACTIVATE AND PAY THE FEE.

Only one INDIGO device can be activated per computer.  If another is connected it will appear in Demo Mode and you will have to activate and pay the activation fee.  You will have to do the same thing again when the original one is connected again.

If you are having a device recognition problem you can try resetting the INTERFACE TYPE

Enter the serial number and select the device type;

  1. Click Start / Programs or All Programs (XP)
  2. Locate INDIGO on the list and Click or right Click (XP) to reveal the Menu options
  3. Click Interface Type
  4. Enter the INDIGO serial number starting with a capital letter ‘I’ and then the 14 digits using this format I01-09-12-15-000000 (Use the dashes and enter the letter I and number exactly as it is on the sticker on the back or bottom of your device.  You do not want to enter this number wrong!)
  5. Click Load Number
  6. Select the device type INDIGO by clicking the radio button below the image.
  7. Click Ok
  8. Now open the software and see if the device is recognized at 25% of launching the software.
